I don't get why we need a special definition of racism when it comes to Jewish people. No other religion gets singled out. We don't have a separate law or regulation covering Catholicism, there's no special envoy dictating whether we can say stuff about the pope. #auspol

Any action taken by the government to combat antisemitism should equally be taken to combat anti-First Nations sentiment. Cripple the schools and universities that don't adequately support First Nations kids. Educate Australians with Truth Telling. Prosecute racist cops who abuse power etc #auspol

I'm in my mid thirties and grew up in Canberra. I had never heard of Lang Hancock till this year when I listened the The Guardian's Gina podcast series. Many of my friends in similar circumstances didn't know about him either. It's very interesting!! We're now informing ourselves!

We also shouldn't forget that while we are rightly reacting to this crisis in childcare sector, we lock children up (mainly First Nations children) in adult prisons in many of our jurisdictions. Child safety is not just for our babies in cities. It must be for all of our children #auspol

Okay but I think the same thing is true of primary school teachers and high school teachers and sexual assault of adults. The number one cause of death or injury for women aged 16 to 40 is men. At what point on that scale of care do we stop men participating in care in the name of safety?
