However these are not the appropriate scissors! I need my regular shears, not pinking shears!

It's my first Sewing Saturday for about 18 months! Tracing off a nice easy t shirt, this pencil seems appropriate to use!

Very much trying to finish this sock, because the next one is colourwork and also I'm going to try using magic loop as that's how it's written. This sock however is a very nice sock even if I'm over it now! Details are in the Alt Text. #SockKnitting #Knitting

Today's #ShowMeYourKnits is Amber and gold, a nice autumnal combination. I think I can just about squeeze my current WIP into that theme as it is my Dr Who which has yellows and oranges!
Photo shows my Dr Who scarf with the goldish colour and gingerbread ish colour as well as the other stripes. Weirdly the current colour is a khaki green but kind of looks more blue than it is in real life!

Now it's cooler, I'm knitting again. While reading on my kindle I can work on my plain socks:) I forgot how lovely the gradient stripes are on this yarn, and I may need to get some more!

I've mostly been knitting today but have spent maybe an hour in total playing with my new Turkish spindle. It came with a chunk of fibre, partly as packing material I think, and that mystery fibre is what I'm spinning. It's quite amazing watching the centre pull ball grow :) #SpindleSpinning

Today's "Social Media influenced me to do it" is a Turkish spindle. The fibre event that is Tour de Fleece on Social Media this year is full of teeny tiny crosswise spindles looking cute, and I caved. Look at my tiny purple spindle! With tiny fine yarn spun :) #spinning #SpindleSpinning #Fibre

Today I'm wearing a me made test dress. The fit is slightly off but a safety pin helps, and it's wearable so long as I'm not going out in it. It's a wrap dress, and I sewed a double line down the edges and really like this detail. It's also a former duvet cover so it really is secret pyjamas!

This week's #ShowMeYourKnits theme is WIPs so here is my St Bees Shawl, very much still in progress, but really starting to show off the gradient colouring of the yarn.
Photo shows my St Bees Shawl which I am still knitting. The colour goes from dark blue at the start of it, through lighter blues to what looks white and is now starting to go pink. The remaining yarn is visible at the top showing that the colour goes from pinks to purples before finishing.Photo shows my St Bees Shawl without the ball of yarn just showing off the knitting done so far.

This is my pattern setup for keeping track of where I am: the original pattern is hard to read, so I wrote it out line by line, and use a bookmark under the row I'm currently on. I use tally marks to count how many pattern repeats I've done. I also have a row counter #Knitting

So, my lovely colleague T is going to become a parent in April. So I keep to finish this in March. March is next week. I am 10 of 17 lace repeats in, and also there is a lace edging to do. And it will need blocking, or what the elderly pattern calls, dressing. Sooo it's all knit all the time rn.
