Really interesting (1) how correlated with their O efficiency Illinois’ OREB% is and (2) just how flat the distribution of their OREBs is. They send _everybody_. If you can slow them down on the glass you can turn them into just a good rather than elite offense. But you need all 5 to do it.

ICE was never going to allow its head to testify under oath when they could just moot this by releasing the petitioner, but there is also no reason that every federal judge can't just start doing this in every habeas case in which ICE refuses to follow the law (many such cases!

ICE kidnapped a defendant from a Massachusetts district court hallway today while the jury was deliberating in his case and refused to allow him to remain long enough to hear the verdict. He was found not guilty, but will almost certainly be deported anyway
