@bookjunkie1975.bsky.social What comes after tertiary? Pondering on starting a new series because of my faves and this time they’re just a random supporting characters to a secondary couple.

I was dreading starting my Hobonichi Cousin this year but it's handling fountain pens and ink like a champ. Unfortunately my Weeks for this year isn't quite the same. The ink spreads unlike before but so far there isn't much bleedthrough, thankfully. How has it been for others? Care to share?

Inking another fountain pen. It’s the blues.

NOBODY TOLD ME THERE'S A HELLO KITTY FOUNTAIN PEN FOR HER 50TH???

A product image of a pink fountain pen with the box on top and a charm on the left side. The pen is a Kaweco Sport, and the cap says "Kaweco x Hello Kitty" on it, and the box has the iconic Sanrio character herself on it. The charm has Hello Kitty on it with a blue heart below her dangling that says "Love" on it.

It is been fashionable in English newspapers lately to reflect about the legacy of the GDR. Instead of engaging in selective nostalgia, I highly recommend this novel by Anne Rabe, an account of her childhood in a regime-supporting family in a small Eastern German town during the late 80s&early 90s.

@bookjunkie1975.bsky.social May I introduce you to fountain pen ink Diamine Spruce?

Writing sample in Finnish with fountain pen ink: Diamine Spruce. The line “Maailmanlopun ennustaja” roughly translates into “The prophet of doom”.

For ease of cleaning: Montblanc Jane Austen Umber fountain pen ink. That might've been the easiest pen cleaning I've done in ages if ever. I was running on fumes and it hadn't dried in the pen but a couple of flushes and that was it. I did let it soak because I have trust issues, but nothing. Clean.

To the new followers: I thank thee and hope you’re not too disappointed when you realise just how boring I am. Even if with fountain pens.

St. Louis Art Supply just sent me an email that can be summarized as "well this sucks and everything is terrible but we're here for you because we still need art. Also we have a warehouse cat." They just shot to the top of my "vendors I have warm fuzzy feelings about" list.

This is a fantastic piece, explaining the staggering self-pity on display from the extreme right, and how come they are apparently not embarrassed to be whining toddlers in public.
