Depends if you’re willing to tamper with the feed. If you’ve spread the tines for a wetter line the next (or previous) step is wetter ink and then the feed.

Vanness sells Ink additive that helps to make dry inks wetter. That could help. But I recommend trying it in sample vials instead of putting it straiht into an ink bottle.

I did finish school and get a new job last summer AND got a scholarship for my studies and thesis… and it was my birthday this month, but you know. Still not reason enough for a January baby who is used to getting all the gifts on Christmas in one go…

If you were ever to so inclined, may I recommend Pilot Custom 823. I have others but I usually keep that one inked all the time. With the same ink.

It’s easier to offer fine nibs if the nib is dry. Or it could be a steel nib issue. Can’t think of any of my gold nibs having this problem.

This is true. If you consider the nib something you won’t hurt if ruined, play with it as much as you want. TWSBIs usually fall into that category but not for everyone.

TWSBIs tend to be on the dry side, so I ended up flooding the feed regularly with 580 and I rarely use it anymore. Ecos can have the same problem but I like them for shimmer ink.

Midori, Leuchturmn. I’m a fan of Tomoe River paper but Sanzen has had some quality control issues lately (Hobonichi 2024). Paperblanks isn’t terrible either.
