Test fitting the fur, I am gonna hand punch hair along the very edge of the silicone to blend it all together. Give him some side burns etc. Which means I need to order more sil-poxy but, he’s looking slick as hell. Almost getting Lynel vibes if I am honest!

Realizing this NFT fur I bought isn’t stretch! I didn’t know they did regular backing furs. Pretty cool! Not imperative to my project, I was actually thinking how I would need to reinforce it. Now I don’t need too.

Heres the finished silicone chest piece all painted up. I used dragon skin 10 for it, as well as psycho paints. I used a combo of airbrushing, paint brush and silicone sponges to paint it. The rest of the body will be fur.

Silicone chest piece. Various blues and teals are used to bring the piece to life. Adorned with various scales along the pecs and sides. The “ abs” resemble scales as well.

Here are the finished gloves! Frankly I am pretty obsessed with how they turned out. Painting silicone scales certainly tested my patience. Painting silicone is very reminiscent of watercolors. It takes many transparent layers to build this level of depth. Its very fun despite its challenges

Ready to try this stuff again. See if ill get a better consistent matting layer on my silicone paint. Also nice to see they changed the bottles since i last ordered. Few years back i kept getting empty bottles! They would be sealed but completely empty. This stuff isnt cheap either!

Hands down the best granola out there. Ive tried many, but none come close to this. Its expensive but again, worth it. I love to add a tiny handful to the top of my yogurt as a dessert. I got this big bag hoping itll last us awhile, and it was much cheaper. Highly highly recommend it!!

Since I had all my silicone painting supplies out yesterday, I opted to paint up a new cast of the tiger as well. I even cast this skin with the new molding method. Airbrushing silicone adds such a nice thin layer it compliments the textures vs filling them. Proud of how its coming along

Thank you! The original sculpt is based on Beast from Xmen First class. I still had the mold so I thought it would be fun to add horns and make something new. Gonna be a gargoyle or some kind of creature. Idk! Making it up as I go.

This silicone is too soft for that. If had planned an underskull i would’ve done that. The horns for this guy are small and made out of foam. So they weigh practically nothing

Was a butthole to open but!! Success!! Only minimal damage ( I accidentally made the mold wall too thin) but I am so proud of self! This will let me cast an even silicone skin for the tiger. It’s to keep things consistent and even. Before i just brushed it in which took ages, and would pool.

AH i am so chuffed this worked out! I rushed this mold which made this trickier then it needed to be to cast. Got an idea that happened to work perfectly! Never been more proud of my self. Anyway, its the bottom lip for the cat. Now i just need to paint it. Oh, and sculpt a tiny set of teeth.

Got a perfect cast then suddenly…it started to shrivel up. Ugh! Zero clue why it does this. Work shop is 76 AND i hit the mold with a heat gun. I know its not temp involved. Literally watching it in real time shrivel up.

HERE we go! Got a successful cast. Took some problem solving but managed to get exactly what I wanted. Now to cast the rest! Ill be painting this and painstakingly hand punching the fur…or flocking. I need to run some tests.
