okay, that's pretty good
Except from a Wikipedia article:
During the 2001 Microsoft antitrust case, the names MICROS~1 and MICROS~2 were humorously used to refer to the companies that might exist after a proposed split of Microsoft.

i think it's really, really bad that the most viable way for most websites to defend against attacks nowadays is to have a single company that hosts/defends/funds harassment groups/fascists and provides services to booters who do these kinds of attacks for payment act as a middleman to your server

ok thats really funny i brought up babelfish with a hook to fix usecs_to_ticks in ios kernel (so ios timers and udelays don't run too fast) it trips a protection check in (old) hbc that causes it to hang on the scam warning screen lol

someone ran a diag tool that calculates the bus speed based on vblank and timebase, and it was saying 324 which is the next divisor down from the one i was aiming at initially that would explain the instability lol, it seems stable at 270 btw

going with smaller increases now. 256.5 sysclk (769.5 ppc) seems to be stable, gives higher results on my shitty dhrystone port, and got in game in nsmbw (not sure how i managed to get through part of 1-1 using my shitty capture device with lots of lag). will let the thing cool down then try […]

definitely *more* stable but not stable enough, and with the system still warm to the touch sysmenu is hanging on load again, so I wouldn't be surprised if it'd actually work with better cooling

Rairii :win3_progman: :win3: @rairii.labyrinth.zone.ap.brid.gy · 26/08/2026
upon advice from @extrems i set the latency/clockdelay registers on the old flipper memory controller to as slow as possible, that increased stability enough to get the system menu to boot, although it hung when i tried to launch hbc from there

managed to get my bollywood wii overclocked (by modifying the sysclk divisor register on iop)... but its too unstable at the next sysclk divisor level (bus speed ~277.714286mhz, ppc speed ~833.142857mhz) L + program exception + hanging when printing the stack […] [Original post on labyrinth.zone]
