James is right - because as the older generation of Thomas fans (like us) - there is a big difference between official productions and fan content. Fan work is done as our own creative thing b/c we don't work on the show - but for an official production, there is some stuff that can be done...

The Knapford Harbor mock-up is coming along well.

For some reason, none of the pink 1" thick foam I had was level with the bridge supports, so I decided to be innovative...

I was originally going to cut the sides of the supports with a hacksaw so the bridges could be closer together, but the hacksaw was too weak to cut through the plastic. Oh well, this will do.

I grabbed a bunch of Flex Paste and threw it on the foam. I couldn't find the right spatula to scoop out the paste, so I used a wooden stick instead.

I placed plaster cloth over the paste. It was a bit tricky to smooth out the paste, and I don't think I got it perfectly smooth.

Here's what the mock-up looks like now. I ran out of 6" straights, so I'll have to cut down a piece of track or buy more.

After Oliver arrived in 1967 and became the NWR’s #11, would there have been some other steam engines working on other parts of Sodor that were simply on a long-term loan with British Railways, that expired the following year and thus could now be purchased by the Fat Controller?
