There is something about african wild dogs that I find extremely difficult to draw. The fur pattern is so random and the dark face markings is super hard to capture. I don’t know if I'm the only one. I spent a long time on this one and I think I finally got it for the first time ever. Really proud

I have been actively involved in protest movements for 24 years. I have never seen anything approaching this scale. Minneapolis is not accepting what's happening here. ICE fucking murdered a woman for participating in this, and all that did is bring out more people, from more walks of life.

Folks are patrolling their neighborhoods to monitor ICE operations. They are delivering food and essentials to others who are fearful to leave their homes. All the while braving harsh winter conditions in the face of violence and intimidation from the federal government.

At least in Minnesota, a common phrase I hear is, “I have never protested before, but I could not sit by any longer in silence” Not only are folks showing up to protest for their first time, there are plenty of other ways people are providing support for their community.

Sorry to steal from Tumblr but this is so accurate it actually made me cry. The "paralysis of will" described here is the most painful symptom of my ADHD.

Some individuals with AD/HD, especially without hyperactivity, have an activation problem as described by Thomas Brown, Ph.D. in his article AD/HD without Hyperactivity (1993). Rather than a deficit of attention, this means that individuals can’t deploy attention, direct it, or put it in the right place at the right time. He explains that adults who do not have hyperactivity often have severe difficulty activating enough to start a task and sustaining the energy to complete it. This is especially true for low-interest activities. Often it means that they can’t think of what to do so they might not be able to act at all, or, as Kate Kelly and Peggy Ramundo say in You Mean I’m Not Lazy, Stupid or Crazy?!, they might experience a “paralysis of will” (pg. 65). “The clothes from my trip—a month ago—are just still lying in a heap in the suitcase.” “I spend a lot of time in bed watching TV but my mind isn’t watching TV. I’m thinking about what I should be doing, but I don’t have the energy to do it.”
