Outgong Washington County Chair Kathryn Harrington just flipped off Commissioner Nafisa Fai for... leaning forward in her chair. Commissioner Pam Treece (who is the centrist running against Nafisa) sat there and did nothing. Y'all, this is getting insane.

I got a hilarious poll the other day. Just question after question asking if some phrasing made me like datacenters. The one that tried to blame farmers for water use was awful.

They're going to consider a moratorium for 120 days, which is not enough but holy moly look at this map. We've got them all out here in Hillsboro. We need a city council that will fight for us, not datacenters. Check out Diana Jackson, Karim Delgado, and Dorian Russell in November.

A map that shows all the probable datacenter locations in the portland metro area, with a large cluster in Hillsboro city limits, 3 in beaverton, and a small cluster in Portland.

The Seeds of Change slate for Hillsboro City Council. They're running to make housing more affordable, tackle the rising cost of living crisis, and do something about the data centers. Diana Jackson (Ward 1), Dorian Russell (Ward 3), and Karim Delgado (Ward 2) Vote Progressive.

Finally taking a break from politics work to noodle on my game, and I finally finished the project i started months ago properly threading my world generation code for my minecraft-like block game.

I was out knocking doors for @evelynforbeaverton.bsky.social last weekend and this cat followed me for a bit. Was uncommitted to voting though. It liked the scritches i gave.

What a shot of the stage seperation.

So I'm tracing the sun and building a lightmap from 5 different angles and simply blending between them based on time of day, using a pretty simple gradient to color the light form the sky!

Still working on this #godot stuff, but I'm trying to build a tile game with actual time of day and shadows, along with colored block lighting. I'm tracing several sun angles to build a lightmap and then blending between those brightness values to sample into a sky light color texture

Exit polling of the NY mayor race points a pretty clear picture as to how Mamdani won! Split the straights and ran the numbers with the LGBTQ+ community. Show some love to the LGBTQ+ community and they'll win you an election

Exit Polling that shows a question "Are you gay, lesbian, bisexual or transgender" with "Yes" having 81% in favor of Mamdan and "No" 15% in favor of Cuomo; and "No" having 46% in favor of Mamdani and "Yes" having 45% in favor of Cuomo.

As for roadmap... We have a new one being worked on, but here's an older one we have. It's a bit outdated because we did a few things already. We post these in the roadmap channel in our discord :)

Here she is being far less intentionally adorable (she had just discovered the new blanket was a heated blanket)

My long hair grey cat Ariel sprawled out over a heated blanket on my bed, in a very undignified pose

I was gone for so long (45 minutes) and she thought I'd never return.
