Need more developers making these decomps to take stances like this, so tired of lazy assholes vibe coding their decomps because they don't give a shit about their own product.

Getting tired of untested vibecoded ports that are just buggy and because no experienced coders are around, they can't fix it? Never fear, as I have listed decomps and recomps done by actual people and it will continue expanding! If you know any, lemme know!

7th gen games really do hit different. The 360 & Wii just feel so comfy & right at home to me. I can very much play HL2 & Portal on my PC, especially with mods, but playing the console port of the orange box just feels really relaxing to me.

If you think an artist's style looks like AI but you can scroll back through their portfolio and see them doing the same work before 2020, congrats, you're not looking at an AI grifter. You're looking at one of the original victims whose entire style AI stole.

I'm spreading this since this is important: If you love man made content and adore retro content, do NOT support video game esoterica. They're actively damaging the decomp/recomp scene by continuing to push and endorse AI generated content, knowingly, and hiding comment calling them out.

Honestly refreshing to see a recomp clearly stating this. Go check it out, tbh

Warning To AI Bros

Again, BlackLabelHQ and by extension MediEvilRecomp is proudly made entirely with human hands. We want to keep it that way, so please respect that.

* Fully AI written issues will be automatically closed

* ALL AI based PRs(such as ones containing claude as a contributor or clear AI code) will be rejected innately, however this is your warning that you will be permanently banned from BlackLabelHQ's repos if you do it anyway.

It's ultimately about what you're comfortable with! Speaking from experience, trying to have a high bar of quality (and maybe trying to raise it over time) that's more than what you can handle can stress you out, possibly burn you out too.
