No one's going to care about good programming language design or anything like that. They'll just vomit out Python till the end of time, and if anything breaks, they'll vomit out a refactor. No one will ever understand anything, and maybe they no longer need to.

Enjoy being young while it lasts. Pick the youngest oldest person's age, subtracts yours from theirs, and that's exactly how long it lasts. You experience it basically logarithmically, too. 20 to 40 goes as fast as 10 to 20. I'm not saying anything that hasn't been said before. I was around before.

What are Silicon Valley 100x-ed productivity types building that's so great? We can all press the AI button now. The only value you provide is having an insightful idea on what to summon. But it's all still "a social media site", "a dating app for dogs", etc. "Make me $$$" is the only idea you have.

Put another way, yes, the bucket phrasing is what I would prefer to the cube phrasing. Or such things. "Is it strange that a gallon of paint can cover any area?". Then we don't introduce this red herring of thinking about the cube shape to start with.

Of course, we can re-shape that cube of paint and then paint a larger area. I just thought the point might be made more effectively by noting this directly. It's clear a non-cubical box can achieve any surface area using arbitrarily small volume.

I've certainly internalized and agree with the moral. It's just the specific phrasing in terms of cubes that I'm nitpicking. I don't think most people will agree off the bat that a cube of any volume can paint a square of any area. They will say a cube of volume X^3 paints an area of 6X^2.
