It was a very good news day for The Lost Saint which made The Listener Top 50 Kids Books for 2025 list. ‘Schools out, hormones are hot!’ Which is very encouraging as I am wrapping up Bk 2 and happy to report that the ‘mix of fantasy, romance, history and religion’ is still quite ‘brutal and heady’.

Whoa … my new book, which has not been published yet has 2 reviews from 2 months ago. There weren’t even ARCs out 2 months ago! I don’t think any ARCs have gone out yet? I woke at 4.30am and thought: seize the day! Went into my office and spent a solid hour swearing at Adobe winding myself up into a tizzy. By 6.30am I’d come to terms with my limitations and completed 50 pgs of editing by 9.30am. Gave myself the rest of the day off. Gold star, Rach!

The sweetest surprise today when a reader popped into school to ask if I could sign her book. 😭 Charlie recently discovered the Spark trilogy and has fallen in love Evie and Jamie. 🥰 I was so impressed that she even found a copy, given Spark is 10 years old! 😳
