Not much flowering in the woods now, but there was a lovely patch of Tufted Vetch (Vicia cracca) adding a splash of colour to the greens of the woodland. #WildflowerHour

The first flowering orchid of the year is always special - a single Early Purple-orchid in a glade at Bedford Purlieus NNR. Parts of the woodland floor were smothered with Wood Anemones, while the yellow-green flowers of Wood Spurge lit up the ride margins #wildflowerhour @bsbibotany.bsky.social
