Yes, pharmaceutical companies based in the EU threatened to shut down export to the US entirely if they found out their drugs were being used for executions. Those companies don't just make pentobarbital, they make almost every medication we use. So some little compounding pharmacy does it instead.

Oddly enough, that company isn't actually a compounding pharmacy and isn't licensed to make drugs for actual use, only as a reference sample to test other companies' drugs against. The state likely used a compounding pharmacy they're keeping secret.

Prisons in the US can't legally buy pentobarbital from the manufacturers like vets and shelters can. So, they have it custom compounded by a compounding pharmacy in the US. There are quality control issues with this. It's possible that it was too weak, but I think it was more likely they didn't

I have euthanized hundreds of animals with pentobarbital. It sounds like they blew the vein or missed it entirely and were pushing the drug in to the soft tissue of her arm, not her vein. She asked if her arm "was supposed to feel this way". It is not. She shouldn't have felt numbness, tingling, etc

People didn't want Clinton's VP as president. People pretty much never want the sitting VP as president. Only one sitting VP has been elected president in the past century, and that was Bush 1. Only 3 others have been elected president in 250 years. It was a bad choice to run him.

Only FOUR sitting vice presidents have been elected to the presidency, only one of them in the last 100 years, and the was George HW Bush. Running a sitting VP for president is unlikely to be successful. People want change, not more of the same.
