Also, in art, quantity often leads to quality! ;-) We should do a sketch meet-up! ;-) (I'm only half joking... maybe only a quarter! It would be a good excuse to say hi. It's been ages! ;-) )

Hah! I admit it can get a bit confusing. Gaeilge works, though! ;-) (that's 'Irish" in Irish. ;-) ) And hey, if you want to broaden the rap languages, Kneecap rap in Irish. ;-)

You probably know about Stromae, but just in case you don't, he's worth checking out! Belgian, sings/raps in French. That would be a modern one I listen to. A not so modern one would be some interpretations of Hildegard von Bingen to relax to. My Latin is too rusty to keep up. 😬

I can totally see you doing an uno reverse on anything trying to scare ya! ;-)

What's the image quality like? I'm looking for something that may be able to print (near) photo quality.

I spent this month focused on painting things the way I see them. Now that the formal challenge is over, I decided to take a deep breath and play, painting what I felt instead. I forgot how freeing that can be! :-)

An abstract (semi abstract? Not sure about the right term) acrylic painting of a white bird taking flight on a deep green background. Underneath all of it is a neon orange base that peeks through around the edges of the bird and in some other places around the painting.

This was actually kinda cute... u til I tried to shade it. Haha! Going to try doing it again in oil. I'm learning that certain things are easier I one medium and other are easier in the other.

A bad acrylic painting of a pink bowl with a flowers and butterfly motif, and a spoon in it.

Also, inktober is coming up, in case you're like me and need an external nudge. ;-)

Dooo iiiiit! I'd love to see your work. We need more art in the world. :-)

😊😊 I'm actually quite happy with it. Especially considering I fell on my drawing arm the night before. 😬

I recently saw a botanical painter use graphite as a base for watercolour and it's such a fun technique to play with! :-)

It's just how this started... a challenge to paint from life daily to possibly win a fancy easel. I'm doing it more as motivation than to actually win anything. Haha... But also... thank you. :-) I shall post more.

Yay! 💜 This challenge finishes on Wednesday, but I'm thinking of extending my daily postings through Inktober. ;-)

I made a cute lil frame for a cute lil painting. :-)

A small oil painting of a mushroom in a wooden frame with ornate metal covered corners.

Day 26 Well, this is awful. Haha! (Bad pain day, so I can't be arsed putting any more effort into it. Oh well!)

A bad POV graphite drawing of Thyra, the floofy doggo, snoozing on the couch next to my outstretched leg.

My email is out of control and my slack is caps lock central... Like... folks... I know it sucks to work inside a pressure pot, but come on. We're all in the same shit situation. No need to get so worked up about an artificially created clusterfuck. Ugh.

It's the kind of work week that makes me play the lotto, because wtf...

Day 22 Work has entirely lost the plot. Working until after 9, so I was having my dinner with a side of doodling. The rest of the week won't be any better, but damn it, I'll keep my commitment. Just 8 more days. I can do that!

A watercolour painting of an autumnal hawthorn leaf with the real lead next to it.

I'd give you mine in a heartbeat, but I fear that it'll be too late by the time the post arrives. If it arrives... ;-)

Day 21 Today was a shitshow, so I kept it short and teeny.

A tiny acrylic painting of a yellow binder clip.

Oh wow! That is big! My biggest so far has been 12x16 inches, mostly because of budget, but this new one is 19.5x27.5 inches, so I'm beyond excited. :-) Though also not sure what to actually paint. I'm thinking of making it a portrait...

Thank you. :-) Committed to this month, but I'm ready to paint something bigger next month.... and maybe take a day off. ;-)

Day 20 When a mishap at the sink becomes an opportunity to practice :-)

Work stress got into my week off, so I bought myself some fancy paint and a big canvas.

Days 17 and 18. It was time to get spooky! :-) (And yes... that skull looks like it's stuck in the most awkward situation and has no idea how to get out if it. 😬😅)

A deep blueish red monochrome oil painting of a skull figurine. It doesn't look like an actual skull, but neither does the figurine it depicts! That's my story and I'll stick to it!

An almost monochrome painting of a perfume oil bottle in yellowish red on a deep blueish red background.
