My first visit to The Bookish Shop a few months ago, I had planned to buy the Fourth Wing printed edges and they were out. Went back today and they were in stock!! I had thought to paint them myself, but for some reason just really wanted these. (Spare me if you hated the series, etc)

Finally finished my shelf lighting for the library. A friend borrowed a few of my series, hence the empty shelf. I’m so pleased with how it turned out. It cost around $50 (I already had an electric drill + power run to the top) #HomeLibrary #DIY

Custom bookshelves with cabinets along the bottom, each of the three sections has 4 shelves with under-shelf LED lights illuminating them. Picture is before author filled them back up with all the things.

So when I mentioned it’s my fave because it expresses (to me) the existential dread of the human condition he looked so horrified & said ‘If I’d known that I wouldn’t have got it!!’ Anyway I love it & it also reminds me I hate winter.

Yes! I usually hit them up. Got some great skulls for my bathroom that I spray painted copper last year.

I may have previously, subconsciously realized - but it’s become clear since my last day with my last company that the amount I was reading was largely due to depression. I have slowed way down. And it feels OK. I’m grateful it was a non-destructive way for me to deal.

I finally mailed this to its home and can share one of my favorite binds so far. Edges inspired by AZ sunsets.

Front cover of handbound, unabridged copy of Stephen King’s The Stand with a crow, road, lightning, and silhouette of a lone man walking done in silver foil.

Back cover of handbound, unabridged version of Stephen King’s The Stand with a quote done in silver foil: No one can tell what goes on in between the person you were and the person you become. No one can chart that blue and lonely section of hell. There are no maps of the change. You just come out the other side…or you don’t.

Painted edges of handbound, unabridged version of Stephen King’s The Stand depicting crows in flight, along with crows on a telephone wire backdropped by a rich sunset of brown, orange, yellow, purple, light blue fading into dark blue.

So a few years ago my bestie gave me her heavyweight recipe for White Chicken Chili. Froze this batch a few weeks ago. It’s even better now. I want to spread the love. If you would like her (hilarious) recipe, DM me. I could drink the broth daily. (Not a super thick chili).

Pic of heaven-sent white chicken chili. Heavy cream, navy beans, chicken, HEAVY CREAM. Don’t ask for the recipe if you’re vegan, low-fat, low-cal. I got nothing for you. Give this recipe its due.

Mr R2 dresses very nicely normally. I normally dress like I force travelers to answer a riddle to cross my bridge. Anyway. Went to a wedding today.

Author and her husband, Mr R2 pose together. He is freakishly tall at 6’6”, and she is normal tall at 5’9”. She’s wearing a green, floral dress that hits above the knees, with uncomfortable shoes + horrible bra to make the boobs BOOB. He’s wearing super comfortable jeans + a long sleeve cotton button-up shirt because GOD FORBID men experience discomfort while dressing ‘nice’.
