Dragon Olly AU 🐉 Artist notes in alt text. Read from right to left (Ch 1 - 15/15) Thankies to everyone who commented on the last post 💟 The next ch is taking me longer b/c I added more details 🙈 I also got super sick on Sat 😭 … but I still drew 4 pages 💪🏼 #Orufrey

Olly: What was that about? What have you gotten yourself into?
Olly grabs both of Qifrey’s wrists
Qifrey: They’re never going to stop Olly…not as long as I know their secret. As long as you’re with me, your life will be a mess too, just leave me and-
Olly: Let me help you!
Olly kisses Qifrey’s hand: Or at the very least let me stay because-
Qifrey: You’re not going to stop chasing me are you?

Qifrey, thinking: Wait…30 minutes? What did he do during that time?
Flash back to dragon Olly holding a naked Qifrey in his hands.
Olly, thinking: H-he’s naked…
Olly gently cups Qifrey with his other hand: No Olruggio1 Look away!

Qifrey: What happened to that witch?
Olly: Uh
Flash backs to Olly throwing Easthies

Olly: I threw him
Qifrey, thinking: He threw the witch?!

Qifrey, thinking while looking smitten: For me…
Olly: But it wasn’t lethal! I swear- umm you know I wouldn’t hurt a fly err unless the fly tried to bite you- ramble ramble

We get glimpses of what Qifrey and Olly’s childhood was like together. They spent a lot of time wandering from town to town and occasionally they make niceties with the local kids there.

Kid 1: Your dragon is so cool! Can I pet him?
Kid 2: Be careful! Dragons are known for being crazy and possessive.
Kid 1 looks concerned
Qifrey: What? Olly isn’t possessive.

People pop up randomly in the town and they all laugh

One person says: Oh shoot I think he’s serious guys…

What happened when Olly tried into his human form for the first time, a bright flash of light causes Qifrey to close his eyes.

Olly: Wha
Qifrey: You can talk!
Olly: I can talk
Qifrey: You have legs!
Olly: I have legs!
Olly comes to a realization: Hey I always had legs!
Qifrey laughs

Age changes throughout the story but they're 4 years apart.
Qifrey came from a family of travelling merchants but he always wanted to be a dragon rider. At the beginning of the story he was considering leaving Olly to join a group of them but in the end couldn't bring himself to get close to a dragon that wasnt Olly so ran away completely alone. Olly chased the dragon riders thinking that's where Qifrey went.
Qifrey discovered a horrible secret which is why he distanced himself from Olly. Even though the misunderstanding was later resolved Olly still has a complex towards being abandoned. He's never blamed Qifrey but instead developed a mindset that it was because he was lacking somehow.
Olly has always been possessive but Qifrey had nothing to compare it to so he always considered it normal though Olly's possessiveness became more extreme as he got older.
Often Qifrey would wake up to random knick knacks, shiny things and books on the foot of his bed. Out of all the intincts Olly can keeps under control collecting things for his mate is not one of them. He thinks himself embarrassing but Qifrey thinks it's cute.
Many a time they just enjoy each others company in silence but sometimes they get competitive over dumb things like who can eat the most pears, who can find the worst book ever, who can spin the longest without throwing up etc.

A big bulky dragon is resting on top of a cliff. His maw is wide open in a big roar. Behind him, a huge moon is rising, providing a vivid, orange-pink contrast to the blue sky.
