100% agree. TBH I first wondered about the gst option way back when there was all the talk about the 2 speed economy during the mining boom but still heaps of people suffering. Beef up gst on mining equipment and luxury stuff like jetskis for the boys 😂 ang drop it for normal food and stuff.

I’m in Townsville which is mostly pretty flat but after I dropped the max power to 250W I couldn’t get up a hill just near my office and had find a different route. I think that would rule out riding for a heap of people. My bike is a coaster type bike which is really heavy BTW.

The article didn’t give a whole lot of detail but it’s good to chat about these laws. I have many thoughts about this one. I’m a 46 y/o man that just bought an e-bike generally do my commute to work. I rode for a week or two before the rules kicked in and just one disagreement popped on day one.

You wouldn’t even need everyone for every decision. No expert here but a quick search says about 900 random people would give a statistically significant result for Straya. We could randomly group 900 people like a jury and get them to hear views & data on an issue then vote.
