It's telling you care exclusively about Arday: not only bc you're addicted to discourse, but because you gleefully joined the pile-on after he was fired and before he died. Perhaps you could reflect on this as microcosmic of the harm you cause (and emotionally distance yourself from)

"trans issues are no conspiracy." Then how was Wallis able to do this? Your one-sided contribution to the discourse of gender healthcare has definitively fostered a horrifying society for trans people across the West. And to you, it's the trans people who are wrong, too excessive.

Similarly, the skepticism you peddle has created the environment where Wales shuts down gender affirming surgery for ALL patients. The story is a major scandal: Nick Wallis's successfully shuts down healthcare based on made up numbers. And not a peep out of you. Why?

Arday's death was caused by multiple factors, and you refuse to acknowledge the part you played in the joys of objectifying him for discourse.

Not only did the pile-on extend 8 days after he was fired, there is a seeming dearth of pile-ons for white academic fraudulence or neonazi professors.

I think you're too addicted to discourse, and you're essentially inflating a non-issue because it annoys you personally. I think you're mature enough to understand that the enormous deluge of articles about him were bc of his race, being a symbol for "dei" or whatever.

You need decades of RCT with zero regret to approve trans healthcare and all you need to take it away is a correlation inference opinion piece in a transphobic newspaper.

Huh, would you look at that, a trans healthcare story based on made up numbers, we've definitely never seen that before
Claire Prosho, a Trans+ healthcare researcher who worked on the Gender Clinic Files investigative series with QueerAF and What The Trans?!, raised question marks about the claim of higher rates of surgical referral in Wales in a letter she sent on August 29 to Mabon ap Gwynfor, the Welsh minister for health and social care.

"I highlighted how, using accurate data gathered for the UK Gender Services Monitor, coupled with other data gathered by Freedom of Information Act requests, the surgical referral rate for the Welsh Gender Service was actually lower than that in England," Prosho tells QueerAF. "And far below the '3x - 4x national referral rate' claimed by Nick Wallis and the right-wing media."

This is a non-story and uses condescending framing. "College kids get excessive about inconsequential conflict" is not a story. Crazy to keep publishing this while education is being systematically attacked by the government.

After passing the Trans Bill of Rights in 2029, Dems need to have a meaningful conversation about tangible reparations for the irreparable damage Trans people have experienced along with Nuremberg style trials for those who pursued the most egregious of violations with express intent to cause harm.

fun part if you ask me: higher ed institutions in secular democracies are the closest approximation of a 'marketplace of ideas' as you are likely to find this side of a global revolution and a lot of people who claim to like that idea do not seem to love its results

If you look at the people *still* trying to attack Jason Arday after his death, and notice that those same people have completely ignored yet another round of fraudulent research from Dan Ariely, it’s obvious the anger is never about research fraud, but about who is permitted to commit it.

If this were any other minority group, it would be THE election story. Let’s be clear about what is happening right now: GOP and Trump administration are scapegoating trans folks like Nazis did to Jews. They dehumanize them, deny their existence/medical needs, and explicitly call for their “end.”

Gloria Steinem died with fewer rights than she had during her lifetime. That fact needs to be front and centre of every media report, every dedication, every discussion of her death.

Presumably, if this were about gynecomastia in a cis male, such a story would be horrifying to the BBC. Instead we get distilled Abigail-Shrier-style objectification and sentimentalism.

Late to the party but it does disturb me quite a lot that Rowling is now saying: "some people are genuinely trans, but not the autogynephiles." As a trans bisexual woman, it is so stunning to see yourself dehumanized in an effort to "moderate" on trans issues

The moment you frame the debate about trans girls and women participating in sports as "letting in boys/men," you're spreading disinformation and smuggling in a freight train of prejudice. Period. That's what Moulton did, framing trans girls--children--as a threat to his daughters.

The thing that bothers me so much about the stupid NYT framing around the Dutch protocol is how it completely erases the history of trans youth. Trans teens have been accessing street hormones for decades. Trans kids in the US weren't invented by Laura Edwards Leeper in 2007.

That NYT "The Protocol" story is a case of cultural imperialism. There is nothing enlightening about that series unless you are completely removed from the trans community or ignorant of history broadly. In fact, they spread misinfo about trans healthcare lmao

Trans people today would have been victims then, whether it was under the sign of "homosexuality" or "asexuality." Gender diverse populations and lesbians were uniquely harmed by Nazi war crimes, regardless of the Nazis' conscious intentions

I think the logical extension of your politics supports fascism, not that you think you are by any means. You are very slippery, not a good sign. The preponderance of our exchange should suggest that it's bigoted to suggest trans people are appropriating the Holocaust.

Hence the real possibility of subconscious antisemitism. To be fair, Israel's specific history of war crimes might also make one cynical, entirely apart from antisemitism. The preponderance of Piker's content, to the degree I'm familiar, is not antisemitic imo
