i've seen two slightly different versions of what could be future me in as many weeks. both of them appeared to be living their best lives while making new friends and/or catching up with people they already knew. i'd be more than ok with that in my future.

this year's gift is a tote bag that i'd consider using if it wasn't so flimsy and didn't have the corporate logo on it, a baseball cap with the corporate logo on it that i'm never gonna wear because i don't wear hats like that, and a branded water bottle that i might actually use at some point.

it's day 1 of employee appreciation week. i missed the town hall with (ceo), but came in to at least 4 generic emails & a video from senior leadership. there are decorations on our floor, but only on 1 side because the other side is being renovated later this week, and none in the area where i sit.
