This little dumbass cost me almost two grand in the space of the last two weeks (dental surgery + emergency vet visit when he developed a post-surgery infection). Anyway I started my day today bursting into tears of relief because he's back on his 5 am decree bullshit. Never change, you tiny jerk.

Whooping crane chicks are cared for by people in some enjoyably spooky costumes, using their hands to mimic how adult cranes move!

"I like that corner cupboard," I mention to my father casually, forgetting that he is a woodworker and I am the one child within reasonable furniture transport distance. And so:
