Really pisses me the fuck off that getting a good nights sleep and taking walks actually makes you feel so so much better. Feels like it should be a lie.

Okay finally finished, turns out install was today not yesterday lmao Not too bad! Boy oh boy these things are a pain in the ass tho

A pair of hobbled shades I made, with a pretty embroidered floral pattern and 6 ribs

Same as before showing the set of 3 curtains as well as the small banquet we had installed previously for the customer in their dinette

Further back showing the additional hobbled shade over the sink in the kitchen

I have done nothing but make these fucking 4 hobbled shades for like the last week and my back is aching jesus fuck, had to be hunched over for hand-sewing Pics when I get the things installed, at least they look nice I guess Never fucking ask me for curtains or I'm gonna go ballistic 😂

My little brother had me pick this up a little while ago so we could have a movie night and we finally got around to it Damn I didn't think I'd enjoy Yojimbo as much as I did lmao, but very glad he suggested it now holy shit Also surprisingly good transfer too, plus that soundtrack is killer

A picture of me holding a Yojimbo laserdisc in front of my LD player

Same roll, shots from berkley when we were going to munro crafts to get beads for my wife lol The massive grain kinda rules tbh, this shit was pushed to 1600 in dd-x, makes for softball sized grain 😂 #filmphotography #35mm #kent400

Some ivy clinging to a brick wall looking very cute

A closed road with signage indicating as such

No right turn (same scene as before but further back and off to the side)

A caution sign on a chain in a random parking lot

I gotta get out and take more pics, but have some random shots I've taken over the past few months Took these walking to comerica to pick my wife up from the MCR concert lmao, gotta go back down for Detroit night shots these rule #filmphotography #35mm

Shot of the fox theater and some traffic along Woodward looking south, the 50/1.5 sonnar has some tasty flaring when wide open

The masonic temple down in Detroit lit dimly

A lone, bright street lamp illuminates a couple cars in a lot on cass, an apartment building visible behind

Shit sucks doesn't it, had to replace a bit of pipe that had corroded and started leaking hot water into the slab of my house this past winter. Very fun to wash dishes with an electric kettle 😂 Then the fuckers had to move the furnace too, it's always some shit isn't it

Wait scratch that, I got it to read a disc finally, it blew half its fuses cause I'm dumb as a rock, and now it actually spins discs and can even switch sides!!! Still has massive issues, the lens crashes into an LD at the edge on side B and it can't get tracking but holy shit it's trying its best

070

Dylan Packard @quantumdylan.bsky.social · 01/07/2026

Okay, managed to get the laser carriage off this cld-3080 LD player that refused to focus lock, and found that the height adjust motor had seized! So I got that moved back into a valid position annnnnnd Now no laser output at all, it doesn't even attempt to hunt for focus. I'm gonna scream 😭

070

Dylan Packard @quantumdylan.bsky.social · 28/06/2026

God damn it, spent like 4+ hours cleaning up this random partially disassembled laserdisc player I found in a cabinet I must have forgotten about, managed to get it working perfectly and then suddenly the spindle motor just stopped working At least I got it cheap but fuck there goes 4 hours 😭
