European Workshop on Open Quantum Systems
The European Workshop on Open Quantum Systems (EWOQS) is conceived as a forum to bring together early‑career researchers from across Europe for three days of scientific exchange focused on the latest developments in the theory of open quantum systems and its wide‑ranging applications. Covering topics that include (but are not limited to) advanced numerical techniques, emerging conceptual frameworks, and real‑world problem domains, EWOQS fosters an environment that encourages interaction, collaboration, and the sharing of ideas—particularly among younger members of the community—within a lively and informal setting. EWOQS continues the legacy of the successful series of one‑day meetings formerly known as Polaron Day, which brought together the UK open quantum systems community. In its new, expanded format, the workshop aims to extend this spirit of collaboration to the entire European community and beyond.
