A listing for a community education class called Realistic Prop Food: Haunted Charcuterie. It teaches sculpting and painting techniques for making moldy and spoiled meat, cheese, crackers, and pickles.

They're a big Christian symbol, so perhaps they're intrinsically emotion-inspiring. (Medieval Christians thought that pelican mothers pierced their own flesh for blood to feed their young.)

The short version for "non-technical users" looks like this. "Delivered by social engineering? "File properties are carefully spoofed?" What?

While reading the full analysis is recommended for those of a technical bent, the bullet point version is as follows:

The threat is delivered via social engineering, requiring the victim to click a link to reach the fake Microsoft support website.

The malware is dressed up as a cumulative Windows 24H2 update; its file properties are carefully spoofed down to the comments filed claiming it contains “the logic and data required to install WindowsUpdate.”

This article couldn't be less clear if it tried. What does the scam look like? What does the legit update look like? What should ordinary people do? And that's the *correction* at the very top.

A Yahoo! Tech article has the following baffling correction:
Update April 16: Following confirmation of a highly dangerous fake Windows Update that users have been warned not to download, this article has been revised to include: information regarding the second-largest Patch Tuesday security vulnerability update ever, which Microsoft users really must install to ensure their Windows systems are properly protected against attack, along with details of an April Windows Server security update that some users are finding they cannot install even though they want to. I would have guessed smelt, which is about the only little guy I see in fish markets. I was in Spain in October being a pilgrim/tourist and I wanted to cry every time I saw a supermarket fish counter. So many flashingly silver creatures I couldn't take home and cook. Also a few nightmares.

It's been so long since I played a real video game that I'm going to go with the questionable "video game" designation that comes up when I google the Times Connections puzzle. Fits neatly with Man on the Inside to create the ultimate cozy boredom show/game.

A curved-arm chaise longue upholstered with an elaborate ivory and green jacquard pattern. The pattern is perfectly matched across the frame and the seat.

Not competing with the fancy yard decorations, but I just put a ghoul and some plastic graveyard fencing out in front, in the hope that we'll up our four trick-or-treater average to eight or something. Real spooky abandoned tomato vines, also.

I was doing grad research in London and this painting was on loan to the National Gallery. So mysterious and riveting and downright weird! I went back to see it twice.

Cranach the Elder's painting "Melancholy." To the right of a huge window frame, a seated woman is staring into the distance carving a stick, while three naked babies try to push a skin-covered ball through a hoop. There a witch on a flying pig visible through the window.That's just the beginning of the weird details.

Greige. Especially the pinky ones, but all of them, at least in big expanses (or in clothing). Taupe is OK, cream is OK, gray is OK, even tan sometimes, but if you can call it greige, I probably hate it.

My friend pointed out the resemblance to Small Porgies, from the Kipling story The Butterfly Who Stamped.
