Like idk, I feel *very* constantly alienated in all queer spaces for a variety of reasons. The only one I actually call a bad thing is the religion/superstion/whatever gray area astrology is in stuff, because I think that's bad in other ways and that I can justify that.

So I think I could probably identify as "Quoiromantic", in that I simply don't feel a strong distinction between romantic and platonic feelings for people. I am very happy doing both platonic friend things and romantic couple things with anyone I feel close enough to.

While I'm ranting: Also, someone being awful doesn't mean everything they ever said was wrong. Rethink whether you trust their past statements, sure, but don't reflexively dismiss. Bad people are actually *great* at using good, real, important statements to hide their evil.

Also, here's some advice: It is ok to not like someone and think they're an asshole without having Big Social Justice Reasons behind it. You do not have to justify personal dislike. You do not have to elevate personal dislike to that level.

Part of the reason doubling down is so common in online leftist spaces is that admitting fault and trying to move forward is so rarely actually rewarded, especially in the genuinely contrite. You need active social capital to enforce forgiveness for your sins.

Having any kind of healthy relationship with social media is just feeling more and more difficult. For me, personally, not really talking about the dynamics for anyone else. I don't know how I deal with that fact, though. Basically everyone important to me has entered my life through these spaces.

Y'know, when I talk about someone who has done Actual Bad Things, I try to be really careful what other aspects of their personality or identity I talk about and how I talk about them. It's very easy to conflate things or make false connections. Just, y'know, food for thought is all.
