I wouldn't consider myself a huge metalhead or anything but sometimes I do get into a mood where I will listen to nothing but for a week straight. Currently stuck on this one while I work. Wall to wall bangers here, tied for top 3 favorite albums from them www.youtube.com/watch?v=SQw5...

I love trying to get my friends to check out some prog metal I like. Here's a good song to start with. It's between 9-17 mins long. Also it's really meant to be listened to in sequence with the rest of the album for full emotional effect. Also that motif is referencing this other album of theirs-

Darktide continues to truly nail the class fantasy of “what if you were a really big guy” Mind powers? An expansive arsenal? The power of god and anime on your side? Nah, what if you were just, like, *really* big

Bird encounters from this weekend. Juvenile red-tailed hawk VERY close to us, and cormorant (and turtle) I love when we are observed in turn

Got super fed up with my iPad getting warm again and went to relearn how to draw on my PC. Turns out my procreate work flow does not really transfer to PS Maris turnaround attack

Hahaha, that really is apt isn’t it

Pywurm @pywurm.bsky.social · 13/08/2026

Did have to laugh at people comparing the gameplay to darktide just because it’s a horde shooter. The arcadey “flashing colorful effect and time slow down to press X and watch a canned animation” thing takes me right out of it. Main reason I never played it. Also Primaris armor is still ugly

Also not a fan of romanceable characters acting like that’s all they’re there for. Back up. Love how much rogue trader makes you work for it, even if I accidentally started Yrliet’s by respecting her boundaries

BG3. I love CRPGs and the gameplay and choice aspects seem incredible here, but I find the writing unbearable and the costume/character design comically ugly (which to be fair is perfectly d&d) And I hate the ugly vampire man’s gross face and bad hairstyle

iPad got hot and made me start feeling omnicidal before I could finish this, but did you know that I umm. I like her. And her stupid gnome hat Pavi’s like if papa Smurf was 7ft tall and green and a woman. And I think life can be so beautiful

This came up because of Vintage Story's surprisingly effective use of sound, especially in [lore location]. It instantly reminded me of TBC I always notice this in games though. Dishonored 2 has maybe the best "mundane" soundscape I've ever experienced. It adds so much yet is so easy to overlook
