3 years ago, I took the @wtyppod.bsky.social "more rigid" thing to heart and secured my dog fence gate with 1/8" threaded rod. It snapped in winter. @donoteat.bsky.social was right. Learned my lesson: I've upgraded to 1/4" stainless. If brute force doesn't work it means you're not using enough.

A simple black metal fence post with a peg latch and two lengths of 1/4" threaded rod tethering it to the vinyl siding with stainless nuts.

One of the rods is visibly bowing.

Unless the bank crash impacted spending power. That's what killed Biden/Harris. Not Palestine, not "old", not her ovaries. Inflation and gas prices. If in 2009 they'd let the banks burn and the economic turmoil had been worse, voters would've punished Obama *harder* regardless of being right.
