@cdbaby.com has really screwed me over on my recent album. Release day was a month ago and it's still not on streaming services. Customer service is out to lunch. After 16 years I will be switching distributors.

I reviewed the beautiful new album from Daryl Groetsch (who also makes records under the name Pulse Emitter), a lush collection of ambient soundscapes representing the depths of the ocean.

Big thanks to Daniel Bromfield @pitchfork.com for this excellent review. “Fathoms is a frictionless listen, but there’s a stubborn sense of craft to it, and that’s what distinguishes it from the streaming-era onslaught of music with little purpose except to be pleasant.”

Pulse Emitter - Tide Pools reviewed on @pitchfork.com by Daniel Bromfield 🪼 "On Tide Pools he ramps up to the level of his labelmates, both in its progginess and in the way it seems a little more computerized than his earlier works, with MIDI playing a bigger role." 🔗: pitchfork.com/reviews/albu...

I recently listened to an interview with Dwight Yoakam. I don't know his music but he mentioned he checks his mixes on a JBL Clip bluetooth speaker. I tried it, it works. It's a great representation of the way many people will actually hear your music, so if it sounds good there... Thanks Dwight.
