Could not be happier with mastering by @angelhairaudio.bsky.social of @fire-toolz.bsky.social. She was so lovely to work with and so supportive. I'm such a fan of her meticulously expressive albums. Thank you Angel for helping bring this music to life! alreadydeadtapes.bandcamp.com/album/its-ok...

"I Cannot Get Involved" is the new single from my upcoming album "It's Okay to Have Fun" out Jan 30th on Already Dead. #antifascist #synthpop with odd time signatures, 90's electronica, and 8 and 16 bit videogame influences. Hear the full song here: alreadydeadtapes.bandcamp.com/album/its-ok...

@aoc.bsky.social says of Mamdani victory: "A lot of people...are willing to talk about party unity when it serves them, but not party unity when it serves everybody." "We have a future to fight for, and we're either going to do that together or you're going to be left behind."

Like "Uncut Gems" for moms. Or Lars Von Trier meets Todd Solondz. Loved this movie, with a brilliant performance by Rose Byrne and an evil one by Conan O'Brien. Highly recommended. #conanobrien #rosebyrne #ifihadlegsidkickyou

Essential reading! Highly recommend this excellent, succinct book by Jason Stanley. You've gotta understand history to understand this present moment (his book "Erasing History" is also powerful). #jasonstanley #fascism #resistance #nowreading #history #antifascist

Do you believe in democracy, human rights, racial and gender equality, science and education, freedom of religion, freedom of speech and of the press, and due process? Congratulations, you're anti-fascist!

Crockett: "I'm gonna honor someone who decided they were going to proclaim I was involved in the 'great white replacement'? Yeah, I'm not honoring that ... it's unfortunate more of my colleagues even on my side couldn't see the amount of harm this man was attempting to inflict upon our communities"

Stop telling us we have to respect this man. Yes, political murder is a losing game, and its escalation endangers people on both sides, but this guy was truly reprehensible. I will not mourn him, but I do worry for political figures on the Left and our devolution into mutual assassinations.

This is a real photograph of Washington, DC this week, where the United States president has ordered military occupation in peacetime, and ordered the display of colossal portraits of himself. www.wsj.com/politics/pol...

Besides the obvious inhumanity, I often wonder if MAGA realizes how fucking boring the world they're trying to create will be

Just watched the excellent Art Spiegelman doc at Film Forum, and I'm finally going to read Maus. Besides this and Watchmen, what are the other essential American graphic novels you recommend? #graphicnovels #comicbooks

How are you handling the rise of fascism coupled with an authoritarian power grab in your country? Frozen? Fearful? Enraged? Resigned? Indifferent?

Another egregiously shameful day in American history. Fuck Trump. Fuck fascists.

A pedophile as Attorney General. A Fox News host as Secretary of Defense. A vaccine denier as head of Health and Human Services. A World Wrestling Entertainment executive as Secretary of Education. And Dr. Oz in charge of Medicare and Medicaid. What dimension are we living in?

The last two films I watched today were "Big" and "Audition." Now I cannot help but think about what Takashi Miike's "Big" and Penny Marshall's "Audition" would be like... #film #cinema #directors #movies
