Il y a 81 ans jour pour jour, le 6 août 1945 à 8 h 15, la bombe atomique Little Boy explosait au-dessus d’Hiroshima (Japon). Prise le jour même par Yoshito Matsushige, cette photo montre des survivants gravement brûlés recevant les premiers secours, à 2,2 km de l’hypocentre.

22 December 1938 | A Dutch Jewish girl, Margaretha de Groot, was born in Amsterdam. In July 1942 she was deported to #Auschwitz and murdered in a gas chamber after the selection.

28 November 1938 | Dutch Jewish girl, Henriette Renée Landau, was born in Amsterdam. In September 1944 she was sent to Theresienstadt ghetto with her mother. They were deported to Auschwitz in October 1944 & most likely both murdered in a gas chamber after arrival selection.

22 November 1928 | A French Jewish girl, Suzanne Plotek, was born in Paris (left in the picture with her sisters Esther & Chaja). She arrived at #Auschwitz on 19 August 1942 in a transport of 997 Jews deported from Drancy. She was among 897 of them murdered in gas chambers.
Three girls are standing together - one after another from the shortest to the tallest. They put their hands on shoulders of the girl in front of them. They all wear school uniforms.
