Ransomware attacks can bring humanitarian operations to a halt and delay essential services. Technology can be restored. Disruption to people’s lives is much harder to reverse. 𝘊𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘕𝘎𝘖𝘴 looks beyond the technical aspects of attacks to examine their impact on people and organisations.

In 𝘊𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘕𝘎𝘖𝘴, we look at what AI is already changing in practice. AI can make individual stages of an attack faster, larger in scale and more precise. For civil society organisations operating with limited cybersecurity capacity, that shift matters.
