𝐎𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡. A reminder that cybersecurity starts with all of us. But awareness is only part of the picture. Many nonprofits lack the time, budget or expertise to put it in place. And when they are hit by a cyberattack, the impact can disrupt programmes people rely on.

In 𝘊𝘺𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘤𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘕𝘎𝘖𝘴, we look at what AI is already changing in practice. AI can make individual stages of an attack faster, larger in scale and more precise. For civil society organisations operating with limited cybersecurity capacity, that shift matters.

Peace is usually pictured as something defended in the field: ceasefires, negotiations, safe corridors. On 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐞, it’s worth widening that picture. Peace can also depend on the servers, networks, and digital infrastructure hospitals and humanitarian organisations depend on.
