We had a wonderful celebration yesterday to mark the end of the 2026 University of Liverpool Prosper cohort. Cohort members reflected on their six-month journey, celebrated their achievements, and identified actions to support their ongoing career development. Many thanks to all who attended!
An image of a modern, lecture-style room with overhead lighting. Two presenters stand at the front beside a lectern and projected slides, while attendees sit at desks facing the presentation. The slide is titled "Celebrating - what achievements or aspects of your career development growth from the past six months are you most proud of?".Presentation slide titled "Celebrating" asking, "What achievements or aspect of your career development growth from the past six months are you most proud of?"

The slide contains handwritten participant reflections in different colours, including: "Taking stock of existing network/contacts," "Using skills to direct career choices," "Time prioritisation helps celebrate productivity," "Recognising skills," "Viewing achievements/activities through lens of own development," and "Self-confidence increased."

"I’m currently preparing an application for a UKRI policy fellowship. The role appeals to me because it’s not pure abstract research – it’s role that translates your research into concrete policy. I guess you could say it’s a hybrid role between academia and non-academia, or ‘academia-adjacent’. It’s a step into the world outside academia and Prosper helped give me the confidence and perspective to go for it."
