I have some super cute ones, but I feel like this best represents the state of the world today.

Hey! If you want to read a fascinating and well written book about 1st Amendment villains, I suggest the amazing “Authoritarians in the Academy” by @sarahemclaugh.bsky.social While it adds more frowns to my frown-y world view, it also reveals unusual suspects in 1st Amendment sabotage.

Red book with white lettering. The title of the book is Authoritarians in the Academy and it is written by Sarah McLaughlin, the first amendment protector and warrior, not the singer and friend of pets. Though, I guess this Sarah could be pet friendly as well.

In my attempt to give my brain breaks from the doom, I just finished a delightful tale, Pay the Troll by @summeroakes.bsky.social It was extremely enjoyable in the vein of Lloyd Alexander and CS Lewis, but for adults. I cannot wait to start on book 2!

Oh man, I used to have a dog that looked just like that! We had two guest labrodoodles, so it was, as my wife has coined, a cuddle puddle at our house. My dog Ginger is not sure about the newbies…

I found this little buddy today! I love jumping spiders! This guy is sitting under our BBQ, like a boss. I don’t think it is thrilled with being discovered.

This is a close up of a fuzzy, black and white jumping spider. It has green around its mandibles and is hanging from a few strands of web. Its eyes appear to be non-plussed at my discovery of it a hiding place.

#CardSky #TheHobby I love the new Topps BUNT UI changes for their app. I am also a big fan of the Top 100 event series. Nice work, Topps. They continue to be my fave for cards. Oh and no one paid me for this Topps love-fest. I am just excited about it.

I like the 2025 Topps BUNT base card designs this year. They are still a little crazy for me, but they are far better (in my opinion) than the 2024 ones. Especially the blue tier.

Right! I don't have distortion in my current amp, but I really just need overdrive. I have a DoD Boneshaker, but I got it used for under $80 so that was a steal. In fact, there are only two pedals on my board that cost over $50 and both of them I got used for under $100.
