Oh yes. Ian's performed that in college... (Really interesting play, can tell you a LOT about it sometime...) 'Stranger' is the usual early modern English word for immigrant.

#ProdigalPrince my new #SlowShakespeare blog, reading 1 Henry IV every day, around 10 lines at a time, starts TOMORROW, 1 October! Here's one of my favourite Hals (and actors): Geoffrey Streatfeild @the-rsc.bsky.social 2007-8, with David Warner as Falstaff.
A photograph of a play in performance. An older man with luxuriant white hair and beard is looking past the camera, holding up both his hands. He's wearing a crumpled white shirt and a reddish-brown leather jerkin, undone and unkempt, over an ample belly, with a jaunty red scarf. Sitting behind him, feet up on a bed, is a younger man with slicked down blond hair, wearing cream trousers tucked into black boots, a messy white shirt and cream jerkin. And quite a lot of eyeliner.

Wow! This is powerful. Sir Thomas More addresses an angry, xenophobic mob that attacked foreign immigrants. "This is the strangers’ case, and this your mountainish inhumanity"

When someone is found to have done something wrong by an undercover reporter, I find the defense ”but it was entrapment" to be rather peculiar. It’s simultaneously a confession of _wanting_ to do that wrong thing, while also being stupid too dim to realise they were being played.

The UN has voted to adopt map standards that show Africa at its true scale. Interestingly, it’s very close to the West Wing subplot in S2E16, where cartographers argued for replacing Mercator with the Gall-Peters projection. www.bbc.co.uk/news/article...
The UN has voted to adopt a map standard that shows Africa at its correct scale, a formal move away from the distortions of the Mercator projection.

It’s notably close to a subplot in The West Wing (Season 2, Episode 16), where the “Organization of Cartographers for Social Equality” tried to persuade C.J. Cregg to replace Mercator with the Gall–Peters projection.

The parallels are striking: both debates argue that distorted maps reinforce old power hierarchies by shrinking Africa and inflating Europe/North America.

The difference is that The West Wing treated it as a quirky advocacy moment, while the UN vote is a serious, Africa‑led diplomatic effort using newer projections like Equal Earth.

In NSCLC with 𝘌𝘎𝘍𝘙 exon 20 insertions, first-line sunvozertinib led to longer progression-free survival than chemotherapy. The most common adverse events of grade 3 or higher were elevated creatine kinase, diarrhea, and anemia. Full phase 3 WU-KONG28 trial results: nej.md/4fQWMwa
This image contains an excerpt from the Research Summary "First-Line Sunvozertinib in NSCLC with EGFR Exon 20 Insertion Mutations" published in the New England Journal of Medicine. It features a diagram of a patient with NSCLC with EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations. Text includes patient statistics: 324 adults, median age 62, with gender breakdowns for Sunvozertinib and chemotherapy groups. Two treatment illustrations are shown: a Sunvozertinib bottle and a Carboplatin–Pemetrexed bottle, with patient numbers for each treatment group.
