Coming out of Toys R Us years ago, a stranger ran up to praise me & offer me a job. She thought I was my son's nanny. Darker-skinned moms with lighter-skinned kids can relate. I spoke directly to my son: "I am your mama." Tips on what to do 👉 www.tinyurl.com/mixedpodcast

Happy 5th Pub. Anniversary for White Christian Privilege. I first wrote about WCP in the late 1990s. As I have shared on numerous podcasts, classrooms, and keynotes, writing the book was both a professional and personal project. Check it out on audible, kindle and wherever you buy books!

I think watching reels is like listening to the radio for those of us who grew up in the 80s. There’s something special about no knowing what’s next. Playlists are not the same.

Jimmy Carter rid the presidency of lies. His fellow evangelicals? Not so much.
(RNS) — One of the many paradoxes surrounding Carter’s presidency is that he was unable to fend off the deception of fellow evangelicals, including Jerry Falwell and Billy Graham.

Grateful to offer comments: I focused on the fact that data on the generational status of immigrants—whether they are 1st-,1.5, 2nd and subsequent generations is not always readily available. Much of the data focuses on broader racial & gender categories.
