I think it's even harder to see that in cases where a person has been directly harmed by someone. Say, for example, Person A murdered Person C who was close with Person B. B will never get C back. What plan or fix would make B whole again? Even if A was reformed, B may never be complete.

I absolutely understand your pain. I love that FOSS exists but oh boy do the engineers need a translator or analyst to help them. That disconnect/gap is huge. I wish I had the skills to read the code written and help make that conversion for folks.
