Looking at proofs for an article accepted for publication in a top journal in my field. Publisher: @elsevierconnect.bsky.social Elsevier charges 1000s of £s for article processing, but my article has had no copyediting. Cursory 'edit' has introduced errors. Are journals just 💰 for publishers now?
