Everyone wants you to download their app, every business seems to be primarily a data harvesting operation for whom actually providing a service is incidental, you have to subscribe to everything instead of buying it, and now everything has a chatbot you don't need and can't turn off grafted on

Tip for junior authors: Calling a debate "ongoing" or a literature "mixed" can be accurate and still fall short. If the evidence tilts with one side using larger samples, larger effects, more specific predictions... say so! Bothsidesism isn't balance; it's uninformative. #cogpsyc #AcademicSky🧪

As a librarian with two master's degrees, which is pretty common for an academic librarian, I get so annoyed when people think that I have *extra* education for my job. One "friend" likes to tell it as if my education is my career accomplishment. No, that's just the education I needed to start.

Representation matters. Native people make up 3.4% of the U.S. population but just 0.07% of elected officials. Saginaw Chippewa Tribal Libraries created a program to help reverse that trend with funding from ALA's Peggy Barber Tribute Grant. #ForOurLibraries ilovelibraries.org/article/nati...
