Vlad is making his way home, hunched over, His retainer, Shamut greets him, but gets caught in surprise by his demeanor "Hey boss, the house's—Twelve almighty, are you... long day?" he asks.
Vlad, still dejected, dragging his feet just says "A snake-lady Primal tried killing a lot of Gyr-abanian dignataries. Yes. VERY."

He makes his way to his bed, and just leaps onto it, passing by the mannequin with armor he has decorating the room, "Ah, my one true love... How did I miss you today, my dearest..."

He kneels over the mattress, head hanging low, barely taking off his chest armor, with his undershirt still on, his pants, kote, and shoes still on, just groaning, "Armor off... gotta... gotta get my boots..."

But unfortunately loses the battle, and falls asleep still techincally dressed, not even covering under his blankets.

Day 6 - hush Not all adventures are meant to save the world. Some of them just involve exploring. And while it's always safer to do in company, there is a higher chance of waking something that should remain unstirred by bringing more people along. #hrothtober | #Hrothtober2026

Vlad flies off from a hallway full of smoke, landing on his face and groaning. Before long, he just shoots off in another direction, as Thancred follows suit, landing behind him. He simply shouts, not looking back "Not dealing with that! Run!"
As he keeps going, thancred recovers slightly, now on his knees, watching vlad run, a d he shouts as well "Don't you dare leave me behind Vlad!"

The scene shifts down the hall, Vlad’s already taking cover, as Thancred runs after him "Vlad! I swear to the twelve, if you left-"
While Vlad replies in the same tone, "Byregot’s hammer, stop screaming and take cover!"
Once thancred catches up, and catches his breath, he starts nagging him, "stop screaming? You left me!"
A rumbling sound is heard from the hallway and a giant demonic creature comes into frame, looking for them. In a wider shot, it can be seen they are not too far from it, and now are whispering among themselves, with Vlad saying "Either you hush, or I throw you out there. We're waiting until it leaves."
To which Thancred whispers back "And how many bells you think that'll take?"

Day 5 alt - Heal Vlad is... okay at magical healing, as his scholar practices made it up to level 60-ish. He is, however, a VERY good alchemist, so he can treat the rest with standard practices. He's not so good at bedside manners though. #hrothtober | #Hrothtober2026

Day 5 - Instinct The streets of Ul'dah are not so safe when you go through a lot of back allesy. Not a lot of people will take that risk, but the brave, or the insane. Vlad jumps rope with that distinction like a child at a playground. #hrothtober | #Hrothtober2026

Vlad is coming out from the quicksands' back door, by his words, going to the market. "Better get to the markets, before rush hour."

A hyur man is leaning against the wall of the alleyway, his face covered, daggers at his waist. "Hey there, neighbor. Mind telling me what time is it?" Vlad looks to be caught unaware, replying with a simple "Hm?"

Vlad extends his arm to his side, and simply replies, "Well, of course neighbor. Let me reach for my watch just for you."

The Hyur man is left lying face down on the floor. Barely mumbling he ekes out, "How did you even know?" Vlad keeps on walking, not looking back, "This is Ul'dah, man. If my instinct says 'Punch', I punch."

Darius standing in a grassy area in Yak'Tel as the rain pours on him, soaking him and his armor completely with dark clouds rolling behind him. He stares up at the sky with closed eyes, hands slightly reached out and turned upward, unmoving.

This scenario is a lens into an aspect of him during Dawntrail, where his relationship with the scions had been shattered and his search for his mother continued/had concluded. Given his constant traveling and betrayed trust, and to be treated as a weapon, his sense and longing for a home grows more and more. He desired to seek some semblance of returning to family upon meeting his mother after decades, only to realize she would rather keep him as an animal in a cage than to let him be free, as well as his guilty feelings on leaving his adoptive family in Gridania to pursue this life of adventure. Is his home in Bozja, where he was used and abused, in Gridania by those who adopted him, or among his current companions who have shared the same experiences he had?

So much for a summer vacation am i right!
