Vlad is 100% sure that Hrothgar + Hyur = Miqo’te and that hyur is the only race that CAN do that. Any other race just changes height, fur color, or ear length. He "knows" his Roegadyn Mother made him just barely taller than average because his dad is short.

Chapter 2: Day 1 - Key

The cold morning in Ishgard did very little to stop its population from going about their day. As used as their citizens were to the climates ever since the Calamity, and with the new availability of goods in the markets since the Dragonsong war ended, the cold was more of a quirk for the city-state, than a harsh reality now.

It was still biting, and it needed to be treated with care, for giving in to laziness, or forgetting it was there, could very well cause serious health problems. A Lone Hrothgar was shaking in his boots, figuratively, and quite literally as well. The clattering of his teeth was causing some chuckles from the more adapted of the nobles and peasants that were walking around the Jeweled Crozier.

Vlad wasn’t a fool. Well, depending on who you asked, but still. He was painfully aware that he was from a tropical region, full of spicy food, where either the heat or the bugs were the biggest nuisances to deal with. The glamour over his armor did not let anyone see it, but while it displayed a bit of his chest, his arms, and even his legs, under all those illusory magics lied a full leather armor, and about seven layers of sweaters and scarves that were doing very little to keep the biting cold at bay.

Sometimes, Vlad and Runar have a bit of a wild night and Vlad tends to be sensitive to his sleep being disturbed. Sometimes, the reflections conspire against his rest unknowingly. Had a pretty silly thing pop in mind when I accidentally removed Vlad's chestplate while playing Gunbreaker #VladLore

a blue-skinned elf of the Everlasting Dark arrives to slitherbough, yelling at the locals "REJOICE HEATHENS! FOR TODAY, THE EVERLASTING DARK SHALL RID THE GREATWOOD OF YOUR INFLUENCE!!"
Runar is near the Aetheryte, along with a couple more Night Blessed. The Hume has a bow at the ready for a counter-attack, while an elf woman (similarly blue-skinned) gasps in shock.
Runar interjects in surprise "A child of the Everlasting Dark? What is his... Oh no..."
His surprise quickly turns into an accusatory point, returning the threat "Whatever your plan is, I cannot stress enough how you need to leave, now. For YOUR own safety." despite his words, Runar is not yelling in response.

The Elf gloats in response, still at the entry of Slitherbough "Your thinly veiled threats can't..."
He pauses for a moment, confusion visible on his demeanor, "Wait, for MY own safety? That's a weird way to threaten someone." He posits back at the Night's Blessed, abandoning his threatening act entirely.
Runar remains accusatory, "Because it's NOT a threat, it's a PLEA for your safety." he bounces back.

The scene changes to a Ronso hand reaching out from a room, gripping tightly at the doorframe. "It's HALF a bell past sunrise." The voice claims. The shot changes to show his leg armor and combat boots taking slow and measured steps out of the room, "I'm TIRED. I'm SORE all over." it continues, as he comes to a stop just outside the room, you can see the chainmail leggings under the plate armor at his legs.
"And I've half a mind to EXPLORE a loudmouth's ARSE with this buddy here." The voice threatens, a shining and quite Girthy gunblade clinks against the ground, barely held with one hand.
The shot pans up to a shirtless Vlad, no armor on his upper half, no glasses on, and his hair all disheveled, while he rubs his face.
"So, Let me go back to sleep, or give me half an ILM of an excuse." He warns, his expression full of anger, while he gets buffs added to him.
+ Berserk
+ Damage up
+ Misery

The Blue-skinned elf is taken aback, and surprised by the Duty pop he just received from the threat.
"What was that "Ding" I just heard?" He mumbles. Next to him, the Duty Pop displays a Trial, Hangover Hold (ULTIMATE). The description shows
"You woke up a Warrior of Darkness from deep sleep. There is no way to survive this battle."
The duty doesn't display any time limit, only showing the location at the Rak'tika Greatwoods, and the only objective displays "Survive". Experience obtained only has a cynic "Hah!" and offers 0 gil as a reward.
Clearly in over his head, the Elf turns tail to Run, yelling back "Sleep well Good Sir!!"
The scene turns back to Runar, slightly blushing, seeing Vlad in a disheveled state, before turning into a full blown infatuation as he mumbles "Blessed dark he's SO gods damned hot..." 2 debuffs are added to him, as he covers his face in shame: + Seduced and + Vulnerability Up.
The Blessed Dark Elf woman behind him just counters with "Girl..."
