On September 11, 2001, Michael Hingson, blind since birth, escaped the North Tower's 78th floor guided by his dog Roselle, descending more than 1,460 stairs through smoke and debris. Roselle died in 2011, and Hingson later wrote a bestselling book in her memory. 🕯️

One of the good things about 9/11–especially in NYC—is that it has become a beacon for leaders. A kind of homecoming for heroes. And especially for many Post-9/11 vets. Walking downtown with my wife, and we ran into true hero and Medal of Honor Recipient Kyle Carpenter.

Please pray for me. This situation is not great. Now healing from a terrible slip and fall. My daughter said I was trying to get out of the tub and she heard me hit hard. She called 911 and they took me to the hospital and finally when they could do a CT found T5 had a compression fracture.
