If anyone goes to the Arrowverse panel today at #nycc can you let me know if they address why Candice Patton isn’t there with the rest of the Flash panel? I’m missing it because there is an issue with my badge so I’m missing it >.<

There is nothing wrong with acknowledging that dating is political, and if you are an activist, it is important to be able to discuss that--also, women are not broodmares and do not exist to extend lineages

Great essay and also I teared up thinking about how @thingswithwings.bsky.social and @eruthros.bsky.social created a year-long Star Trek curriculum so we could watch Past Tense ON August 30, 2024 (and they kept it SECRET until the reveal!!!)

Work in progress :3 I could write a whole essay on not only Martha but, assumptions that in Doctor Who that we kind of all took for granted. But many who are far more qualified and articulate already have @verilybitchie.bsky.social @princesmweekes.bsky.social #bbcdoctorwho #doctorwhofanart

It’s an illustration of Martha Jones! From Doctor Who!

Fantastic new video by @princesmweekes.bsky.social on Deep Space Nine and the prophetic portrayal of sanctuary cities and the Bell Riots in "Past Tense" with an amazing exploration on the impotance of Science Fiction and the role Star Trek has played A+ stuff. Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

It is more just frustrating that after 20 years and the ATLA franchise canabalizing each other that we STILL can’t have disagreements without it being taken straight to hell with bad faith discussions. ABOUT TWO STRAIGHT SHIPS XD

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 25/09/2026

Everytime I see more announcements about how people beyond Bryke were interested in exploring Zutara on the ATLA team it doesn’t make me feel validated—it just makes me feel annoyed. Because duh. I was there lol they marketed to Zutara all through book 2-3.

A lot of the anti non canon ship discourse is a mixture of a complete collapse of creativity and the continuing inability to not need characters to be morally pure to be interesting or worth investing in.

The way they are trying to blend Lizzie's story with Aileen Wuornos is very gross and off-putting

2413

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 20/09/2026

If anything, this show proves that there is no way Lizzie Borden could have done it and got away with it because literally everything that happens in this show goes against eye witness testimony lol Also, not to defend men, but did Andrew Borden haunt a writer? Why did they write him this way?

1401

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

This fourth episode is disgusting. Like truly triggering violent and pointless. #lizzieborden

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 19/09/2026

It’s the context of the time period. In that era it’s a big difference AND they once again cast a very petite and attractive young actress to play a woman who was considered at the time to be a middle aged spinster

1210

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

It is interesting what they have decided to keep from history and what they have changed. There is just enough there to show they did the research, but it just makes other choices baffling #monsterlizzieborden

Princess Weekes @princesmweekes.bsky.social · 18/09/2026

Exactly, and her step-mother was also a super spinster when she married Mr. Borden
