Silvery lutungs (Trachypithecus cristatus), also called silvered leaf monkeys and silvered langurs, are endemic to Brunei, Indonesia, and Malaysia. Infants are orange at birth; hair begins to turn silver at 3-5 months. Threatened by fires and severe habitat loss for palm oil production. Vulnerable.

Gray's sportive lemurs (Lepilemur dorsalis), also called gray-backed sportive lemurs, are endemic to northwestern Madagascar with restricted distribution. Nocturnal, they spend the day sleeping in tree holes and vine tangles. Their range is severely fragmented and continuing to decline. Endangered.

Buffy-tufted-ear marmosets (Callithrix aurita), also called white-eared marmosets, are endemic to southeastern Brazil. Short muzzles prevent them from gouging tree bark for gums and saps; they mostly eat insects. Threatened by deforestation, hybridization, and yellow fever outbreaks. Endangered.

Common woolly monkeys (Lagothrix lagotricha), also called Humboldt's woolly monkeys, are native to Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and possibly Venezuela. Primarily occupy lowland terra firma forests. Relatively wide-ranging, but threatened by hunting and trapping. Vulnerable.

Roloway monkeys (Cercopithecus roloway) thrive in the forest canopy. They do not adapt to habitat disturbances. Endemic to Côte d'Ivoire and Ghana. Already eradicated from most of their range. Uncontrolled hunting and habitat loss have taken 80% of their population. Critically Endangered.

Moustached guenons (Cercopithecus cephus) are native to a broad and diverse range in equatorial West Africa. They associate with other guenon species for safety in numbers. Widespread and common in Gabon and northern Congo, but under threat from hunting in most of their range. Least Concern.

Tapanuli orangutans (Pongo tapanuliensis) are confined to the mountainous Batang Toru region of Sumatra. Recognized as a distinct species in late 2017. Considered the most ancient of the three orangutan species. Threatened by habitat conversion, forest fragmentation, and illegal killing.

Black-capped capuchins (Sapajus apella) are native to Bolivia, Colombia, French Guiana, Ecuador, Guyana, Brazil, Peru, Suriname, and Venezuela. They craft rocks and sticks into tools to open nut shells. Sometimes females pelt rocks at males to capture their attention—also tool use. Widespread.
