And one more for tonight, a random Voyager from season 3: Macrocosm! Time for Janeway to kick some ass! Again, though, we NEED a HD remaster please! #StarTrekDay

Now a random DS9, also season 2 oddly! Rivals. Though after watching a TNG the lack of HD is striking. Please please please can we get a remaster or high quality upscale?! #StarTrekDay

Also, Doctor Pulaski, diva that you are. Turning up to breakfast with a bottle of whisky. No notes. 🙌🍳🥃 #llap

Picked a random TNG episode to watch for #StarTrekDay and it was S2 Time Squared. Love that the episode starts with 5 minutes of Riker cooking bad eggs. 😅

I feel like I've been saying this for over two years now but once more, with feeling: They better not fridge Batel!

Such an amazing day, and began the the trend of me always having to take two suitcases full of merch to Sonic cons. 🙃 Loved meeting some of the #sonicthecomic folks for the first time, bought my first original STC art from Nigel, and got to play Sonic Colours a few months before I was released! 🤩

From the Nitpicker's Guide for Deep Space Nine Trekkers, published in 1996. The reviewer didn't think the state of the United States in 2024 as shown in the episode Past Tense, Part 1 was believable. Sounds like @roberthewittwolfe.bsky.social and Ira Steven Behr were pretty close....

Text from the book: "I wanna know what happens between now and A.D. 2024 to create the environment we see in this episode. Note that people are being detained against their will simply because they don’t have an ID! Apparently if you are just strolling down the street, a policeman can walk up to you and demand to see your identification, and if you don’t have it, you get hauled off and interned WITHOUT a trial for an INDETERMINATE amount of time! What happened to the Bill of Rights? Is the United States of America under martial law at this point? It would almost have to be. That would explain the fact that freedom of the press apparently has been rescinded as well. I have an extraordinarily difficult time believing that the media simply have no interest in what goes on within these sanctuaries." Shared from Cordelia and Connie Willis.

Pride is all about celebrating who we are. But it can also bring up difficult feelings. Especially if you’ve been treated badly because you’re LGBTQIA+. 1/2

A PRIDE progress flag in the shape of a heart. Being LGBTQIA+ isn't a mental health problem. And it doesn't cause mental health problems. But discrimination, being judged or misunderstood can take a toll on our mental health.

Feels like decades since I last caught up with Ryo. Hopefully @iningames.bsky.social and @sega.jp @sega-west.bsky.social find a partner and reveal the next chapter in his epic story soon! #LetsGetShenmue4 #Shenmue

Rhythm & Hues Studios - a visual effects and animation company created the #DS9 wormhole effects if memory serves. Anyone out there with skills tried emulating/recreating it? I'm interested in how much of a challenge it is with todays tech? Any VFX wizards out there care to fill me in?

Wouldn’t it be great if instead of just “thank you” credits at the end of the movies that make millions based on their work comic creators got big fucking royalty cheque.

Peter David's Star Trek New Frontier and DC's Young Justice are some of my favourite books/comics and both gave me a lifetime of memories so I'll absolutely be donating. If you're able to, please donate to help him and his family (or share the link!) www.gofundme.com/f/help-peter...

#Wonderfalls deserves so much more love than it gets! If you haven't seen it before and enjoy Pushing Daisies and Dead Like Me, go watch it! If you've not seen those, go watch all three shows! And if you've seen them before? Go watch them again! 😅

Honestly if the steelbook was that neon yellow and used one of the cooler ad designs they showed during promotion I'd consider it but the Trek home media designers have really not made the best design choices the past few years. 🤷

I'm excited to delve further into the background of Emperor Georgiou once this is released. Disco's take on the mirror universe has always been a smart one and there's a lot of potential for a cautionary tale of a world where humanity indulges it's worst impulses. Especially now. #StarTrekDiscovery

Always loved the Ambassador Class design, and remember being thrilled the original U.S.S Excalibur in the New Frontier novels was one. It's the little things even if we never really saw it on the covers. #startrek #StarTrekNewFrontier

For sure! Do we know if the DVD release was the same in all regions? Like is the PAL version any better than NTSC? I remember the Buffy DVDs were different in UK (seasons 4-7 were "widescreen") vs US (4:3).

It's already looking so much improved over how we've been able to see the episodes before. Wild for just auto settings! Looking forward to seeing you tweak them further and probably build the definitive version of DS9 unless Paramount finally take the plunge and remasters! 🖖🤩

Introduce yourself with 4 video games.

Title screen for Sonic 3 & Knuckles on the SEGA Megadrive

Box art for Shenmue on the SEGA Dreamcast

Box art for Batman Arkham Origins on Xbox 360

I'm glad we got what we got but it feels like season 1 was just getting us up to speed so season 2 could really go places. So sad when so many animes seem to get 52 episodes up front, Shenmue deserved all 52 to tell it's tale. Maybe one day... #Shenmue #LetsGetShenmue4 #MoreShenmue

I'd have loved to see season 1 just cover the first game. Maybe 9-10 episodes diving into the world of Yokosuka and the mystery unfolding. Then use the rest to finally show the missing story of Ryo's boat trip to Hong Kong and show us something new! #Shenmue #LetsGetShenmue4 #MoreShenmue

100

As for the anime itself? It was fine but not great, most of it felt rushed, like an outline of both games to get people up to speed rather than an actual show. Only the last few episodes slowed down enough to really get into it. #Shenmue #LetsGetShenmue4 #MoreShenmue

Michael @prettyconfusd.bsky.social · 04/02/2025

I hope we get a season 2 eventually, while I'd prefer games to complete the story at this point I'll take anything! Give us an anime, a comic, a novel... 😅 #Shenmue #LetsGetShenmue4 #MoreShenmue
