In the hospital. My mom's cancer has spread to her liver, lungs and lymphnodes. I'm shattered.

Well, it happened. 81 years after the end of WW2, and the downfall of the Nazi regime, an extreme right-wing party managed to win a state election in Germany. And of course it happened in a state that used to be a part of the GDR. Somehow (most of) the East has developeda penchant for political

Ffffffuuuuuu... Second game for his new club, first game as a starter, perfect first half with his first goal for Dortmund, and shortly into the second half of the game... tears his ACL, and will most probably have to sit out the ENTIRE season.

“Be Strong enough to be gentle.” Peter Cullen tells the story of how his brother inspired the voice he would use to play Optimus Prime. It’s a simple yet poignant quote that sums up why Optimus and Peter are so beloved. Til All Are One. 💔

Yuuuuuuup. "Don't Engage, Just Block" was a terrific ethos to have instilled early on, and when the main feed doesn't have an algorithm to promote shitty engagement, so much the better. Also why people here are unbothered by being smaller than X - most everyone here is actually real, and not a dick.

Up until a few weeks ago I could count the wildfires/forest fires that I remembered on one hand. Then, roughly a month ago, as I was returning from our film club, and was already on the homestretch of my way back, a bunch of fire engines came up from behind me, and passed by. Just a few minutes

The first ever live-action meeting between Superman & Batman was on a cheap TV special previewing new Saturday morning shows in 1973, which included Super Friends. Supes was future game show host/MAGAt Chuck Woolery, Batman actor still a ?? 50 yrs later. Plus: Lassie! Bugs! Yogi! RICK SPRINGFIELD!!

So.. we both won and lost against Arsenal today. Won the game - because of three goals scored by three 18-year olds, and sadly gifted them a penalty because of a lack of experience of a 17-year old. Lost the penalties - because of the inexperience of another 17-year old.

I’m sorry Ms Jackson parody comic where instead of “I am for real” it is “I am four eels”

That was... weird? Drove home from a show, got off the Autobahn, with a roughly 30 km/30 min drive home through various towns. And I didn't see a soul! For the entire drive! No cars. No buses. No folks driving on their bike to get to the night shift. No drunkards stumbling along the sidewalk.
