Same!!! Its why I don't feel bad saying it. It takes work but it helps in so many ways and makes you a better artist to be able to disect these things

one of the best decisions you can make as an artist is to stop talking about your artwork from a position of defending it. the artists statement should be a tool of pride, community, and conversation, not an appeal to those who had no interest in (or ability to) understand it in the first place.

Does it ever annoy people that celebrities go to fashion shows in a non class way...But more like...How tf does you being rich qualify any interest or reason to be here. You're literally just taking selfies. You've never taken any interest in art in your life. What's really going on...

you may have noticed that animation has never been more in-demand & in the zeitgeist and yet, seemingly, never have media conglomerates been less willing to produce it. you may also notice these guys get multimillion dollar severance packages after they gut a studio. there is probably no connection

I think you're probably right and it's easy to forget that context, but god it's really every post it's rough

Praefix @praefix.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Art is generally at most for a broad category of people, and more often than not it's for the artist and what you get out of it is incidental.

020

Praefix @praefix.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Honestly the way the internet has enabled people to treat authors just blows my mind sometimes...Enjoying art is a privilege you get, it's very rarely if ever for you.

000

Praefix @praefix.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

1- why do y'all treat a furry dog comic like reality tv 2- your media literacy skills should be on red alert

Praefix @praefix.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

I don't read many comics but I follow the author of Dog Haus on instagram and bro....The ammount of morons in that comment section. If you swung a stick in there you'd hit 10.
