In our new collaborative open-access @cp-cellreports.bsky.social paper, we built a telomere-to-telomere genome assembly pipeline (long + short reads) and applied it to nine Canadian #Borrelia burgdorferi strains from five regions. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Very grateful to be spending time in the beautiful city of Antwerp. Parasitology brought me here, but the architecture, the food, and the warmth of the people have made the experience even more special. Many thanks to Professor #GuyCaljon for the invitation and for this wonderful opportunity.

Can I suggest the revival of an old fashioned principle among scholars? You don’t criticise what someone else has written unless you’ve read it?

Thrilled to share our new collaborative work! Climate change could push L. shannoni — a sand fly linked to VSV and Leishmania — into the NE USA and Atlantic Canada. Using MaxEnt modeling, we mapped future risks for human and animal health. Check it out: rdcu.be/ejAGk #VectorBiology #OneHealth

Setting limits can also concern what you don't say or do. For example, not replying to an e-mail at the weekend means you don't work at the weekend. On the contrary, replying to e-mails during this period opens the door to people wanting to contact you during this time.
