I got to do two frames! #ofmd #ofmdart

illustration of Ed and Stede. They are in the doorway to Stede's cabin, facing each other. Stede is swinging Ed into the room, a look of nervous determination on his face. Ed is surprised.

I first had the idea for this in April 2022, didn't start drawing it until April 2023, worked on it last in 2024, then last night thought 'fuck it I'm finishing it.' #ofmdart #gentlebeard

illustration of Ed and Stede from OFMD, designed to look like a romance novel cover. Ed is in front of Stede, back to Stede's front, wearing nothing but the blue robe, a black cravat, and a string of pearls. the robe is falling off his shoulders, and opened at the bottom to reveal his legs. he's looking back over his shoulder at Stede with a smitten expression. also his tongue and nipples are pierced. Stede is wearing a white shirt that is open, showing off his bare chest. a red sash is around his waist and he's wearing black trousers. He's looking down at Ed softly. His right arm is up and holding onto a mysterious rope coming down from somewhere. His left hand is over Ed's on his waist. they are standing on a ship's deck, and the sea and cloudy skies are behind them. a lone seagull flies in the distance. in the bottom left corner is pink text that reads "Gentleman Pirate". in the top right corner is white text that reads "David Jenkins"

this has been getting some hits again on tumblr and it reminded me I never posted them here, so! first piece was inspired by a tweet from @flagmeanssteph.bsky.social, who then wrote a fic. and then she wrote a second chapter which I then drew the second piece for. inspirationception! #gentlebeard

The plant Stede looted from the fishermen in OFMD ep 1 is sitting on some kind of surface, sunlight beaming down on it. Everything else is in deep shadows, including Ed, who has his left arm resting on the surface, obscuring the lower half of his face as he looks up at the plant, tears falling from his eyes. His right hand is reaching up to gently touch one of the plant's tendrils.

The plant Stede looted from the fishermen is in the foreground, bottom right, on the window sill by the bed in Stede's cabin. Sunlight is shining upon it. In the background, deeper in the shadowy and empty cabin, Ed and Stede are kissing, arms around here. The sunlight is shining on them too.

illustration of Ed and Stede facing each other, noses touching, as they look lovingly at each other. Ed is wearing a black flap hat and black parka, a yellow and pink plaid scarf, and grey gloves. Stede is wearing a pink pompom hat, teal peacoat with the collar turned up, and purple scarf. Both their cheeks and noses (and Stede's ear) are very very pink from the cold. Snow is falling around them.

#OurFlagThinksSpring - Day 3 Flowers you belong among the wildflowers you belong in a boat out at sea...

Ed and Stede are lying in a small rowboat presumably on the ocean. The boat is covered with greenery and flowers (pinkish-white ones and smaller purple ones.) Stede is on his back, legs hooked over the boat's bench. Ed is on his side and curled into Stede, legs under the bench. Stede is looking fondly at Ed, right hand reaching over to cup his jaw, fingers under Ed's hair. Ed's eyes are closed and he is smiling. There are white flowers tucked behind his ear. His hair is half-pulled up into a bun and decorated with small purple flowers. Stede is wearing a plain shirt, black breeches, a red sash around his waist, and knee-high black boots. Ed is wearing a black crop top, black leather pants, and dark brown boots.

fiiiiiinally finished my commission prize for #OurFlagMeansPride25! they wanted something with Ed and Stede inspired by the video for "Friend of Dorothy" by the Wiggles and Orville Peck

illustration of Ed and Stede from OFMD. Stede is on the left, Ed is on the right, and there is a green dinosaur (costumed) with yellow spots between them, arms around their shoulders. Stede is wearing a black cowboy hat with a teal band, a yellow kerchief, and a white Western-style shirt with black shoulders and teal floral embroidery. A large silver belt buckle is also visible. Ed is wearing a white cowboy hat with purple band and purple embroidered hearts on the underside of the brim, a purple eye mask with white fringe (parted to show his mouth), a purple cravat, black crop top, black leather pants, and a black leather jacket with purple embroidery and white fringe. a hawk tattoo is visible just under his collarbones, and there are also flower tattoos going up the sides of his belly from below his waistband. Stede and Ed are making lovey eyes at each other and smiling. Dorothy (the dinosaur) is wearing a white cowboy hat with a red rose and white mittens.
